There are so many misconceptions regarding ‘health care’ and how to take care of oneself. Let us review some of them:
Doctors heal patients.
Patients often thank the doctor for healing them, but the fact is that doctors do not heal people. People heal themselves with the assistance of the doctor. Humans produce ‘human growth hormone’ which helps us to make new cells that replace worn-out cells and damaged cells. As we age, we produce as much growth hormone as possible.
There is one supplement I know of which contains 6 growth hormones! It is called Deer Antler. The best deer antler is grown in cold climates like at Butch Tobin Farms in Maine, which is very cold in the winter. His deer antler is the best I have ever taken. His telephone number is 207-586-5151. If you are very active physically, then you need what’s in the deer antler in order to quickly heal from sports injuries. In fact, there isn’t any other substance, to my knowledge, which can help the body heal better than deer antler. We should be all be taking it every day.
Drugs can make the body do things it cannot perform otherwise.
Drugs are chemicals which interfere with, stop or copy chemical reactions in the body. This causes a change in the normal functioning of the body. Drugs are designed to produce a particular effect within the human body, which the medical doctor has concludes will help the patient overcome an illness, infection or injury. However, the side effects usually disrupt the body’s normal functions sometimes even more than the disease process itself.
Nutritional Supplements can actually guarantee results.
All substances taken in by body have to be digested and absorbed before they can have an effect on the body’s functions. So when a person’s digestive system is not working normally then it does not matter what the person takes in- it will not have any effect. All substances possess chemical properties which will affect one or more of the body’s organs.
So when a person’s organs are in a weakened state, any substance which would normally stimulate the organ to do something will have considerably less or perhaps even the opposite effect. So before anyone takes supplements or herbs to enhance their health, they should be evaluated to make certain their digestive system is operating normally and that all the organs the substance is supposed to affect are working normally.
Never assume your digestive system is working properly just because you have no complaints. In my opinion, most people’s digestive systems are in some need of enhancement, especially the elderly.
Everything appearing on the internet regarding health care, supplements and herbs is true and factual.
This is simply not true. There are internet sites specifically designed to misinform the public or which are prejudiced or biased towards one faction or another. Lest we forget, most of the stuff on the internet is in the form of an advertisement. Advertisements are by nature specifically designed to mislead the public into purchasing their product or service.
The Natural Approach versus the Artificial Approach to Healing.
Let me give you an example of what I mean. A person is told by their physician that they have elevated blood cholesterol. The physician prescribes Lipitor, a cholesterol lowering drug, whose chemical action is to stop the liver from making cholesterol. Now we know that the liver makes most of the cholesterol in the body, so when a blood test reveals there is a cholesterol concern, then that implies the function of the liver is not normal. So rather than take a drug which will interfere with the liver’s ability to make cholesterol, doesn’t it make more sense to give the person something to enhance the liver’s function, and watch the cholesterol levels return to normal naturally of their own accord?
Drugs are a stronger way to affect the body. It makes more sense to me to first try a weaker approach to healing the body through foods, supplements, and herbs. If those do not bring about the desired effect, then take a drug. If you always take drugs as your first remedy, and suddenly they do not work, what else have you got? Give Mother Nature a try first, then if Her remedies are no longer able to help you, it is proper to give the drugs their chance to assist you.
As a professional, I like to start with the weakest substance – usually foods – which have been shown to affect the body in a helpful way against an abnormal process going on in the body. If it isn’t effective, then I apply a stronger approach – usually a nutritional supplement – to effect a beneficial change. When that doesn’t seem to work, then I give the patient the strongest substance I have available – usually an herb – to effect a change back to normal.
Oftentimes, it’s not just one or the other approach, but a combination of foods, supplements, and herbs which causes the most beneficial change in the patient’s body. Keep in mind, there are countless foods, supplements, and herbs to choose from in order to help anyone maintain or regain their health.
So don’t give up on your body when natural substances don’t seem to accomplish what you need done. Drugs are often ineffective too, and they have countless side-effects which cause more disruption within the body, making it more difficult for the body to heal itself.
Nobody is perfect. As we age, our organs start to show the effects of accumulated injuries, illnesses, and stress. Remember that ‘symptoms’, that is, what you complain about to the doctor, is the way your body lets you know it needs help. Listen to your body and tell me what you’re feeling. Then we can do something to make your body function normally, and your symptoms will disappear.
